Like the North star in the night sky, Prahlada, the son of asura-king Hiranyakashapu, radiated auspiciousness in a desecrated and foreboding atmosphere. Despite being constantly persecuted by his father, he managed to stay out of harm's way through the grace of the Lord.

His asura friends were intrigued by his unwavering devotion and sagacity, and sought to know the secret behind it. Prahlada, brimming with compassion and love for the welfare of others, expounds the methods and techniques that help us walk the spiritual path, taking us closer to the Lord, filling our hearts with love for Him.

These teachings have been captured and crystallised in the Bhagavatam, in the section known as the Prahlada Upadesa. Swami Tejomayananda distills the teachings contained herein for us to apply in everyday life.
