Chapter 5 is a bridge between karma yoga and meditation. It deals with the spirit of renunciation, how to practice it and reveals the results of acting with this special mental attitude.
Chapter 6 is the yoga of meditation. To a true seeker, a thorough study of this is ample direction and guidance to reach the highest through meditation. No where else do we have such a vivid description of the entire path. Absolute faith and single pointed concentration is possible only by knowing the nature of the Lord - His all-pervasive and all-including infinity.
Chapter 7 explains the Self''s excellence, supremacy and all-pervasiveness.
In Chapter 8, the technique of carving out the Vedantic ideals in practice has been completely and fully explained and the relationship between the Eternal spirit and the delusory realm of names and forms has been clearly indicated.
In chapter 9, we find a detailed explanation of Self-knowledge, which is the supreme knowledge and supreme secret. It is a continuation of the ideas stated by the Lord in chapter 7.
