Lord Rama is Adarsha-purusha (role model) for us. He is the incarnation of Maha Vishnu; which means the Bhagavan himself in the human form !! Because our mind is quite literally capable of becoming the object of meditation or absorbing/embodying the qualities of the object of contemplation. So, Shree Rama being the object of devotion/contemplation/meditation, the mind can become one with Shree Rama and develop attributes of righteousness, goodness, veracity, courage, strength, firmness, and compassion towards all beings. Rama is the embodiment of dharma. He is saintly, established in truth and valiant. All knowledge is encapsulated in the word 'Rāma' - the Self, in whom everyone finds joy; the One who dwells in everybody's heart. The one word 'Rāma'. So, just by remembering or chanting His name with love, the devotee its himself becomes an abode of peace, joy, and goodness - and radiates it to others. This potent mantra of one single word (RAM) is enough to carry one across the ocean of samsara. In fact, Lord Shiva says to Ma Parvati, राम रामेति रामेति, रामे रामे मनोरमे, सहस्रनाम तत्तुल्यम्, रामनाम वरानने। That, O Goddess, I eternally and blissfully chant the name of RAMA, for this one name is the equivalent of one thousand divine names. Chanting of this mantra invokes the bhakti of LORD RAMA in the devotee's heart. RAM, the embodiment of DHARMA I take refuge into you.Jan 6, 2025 12:37:27 PM
